Arc Furnace
All control from movements of electrodes to vertical movement of the furnace during the casting is provided by hydraulic system.
All control from movements of electrodes to vertical movement of the furnace during the casting is provided by hydraulic system.
All movements of the Electric Arc Furnace, which is used to melt scrap, are done hydraulically. It is comprised of a Hydraulic Power Unit, Valve Stands, Battery Stand and Nitrogen Stand. There are 9 different movements in the Hydraulic system in Standard Arc Furnace applications. Some of the most important of such movements are Electrode Regulation, Tilting, Roof Tilting and Gantry Swiveling.
Electrode Regulation cylinder ensures the movement of the Electrodes that will enter the furnace. For cylinder movement, Rexroth high accuracy 4WRLE Servo valves are used. The Tilting cylinder ensures the tilting movements of the furnace.
The tilting movement uses Rexroth high accuracy 4WRKE Proportional valve too. Roof Lifting cylinder ensures the furnace opening and closing process. Roof Lifting movement uses Rexroth high accuracy 4WRKE Proportional valve as well. Gantry Swivelling cylinder ensures the furnace rotation process.
Roof Lifting movement uses Rexroth high accuracy 4WRKE Proportional valve as well. ROTH Accumulator and Nitrogen Stand is used in the system against electrical hazards and for boosting. There have been about 25 Arc Furnace Projects Hydraulic Systems of different sizes planned in the world.
