Crucible Furnace
While the hydraulic movements of the crucible furnace are lesser in the iron and steel sector, the electrode movements are still carried out by proportional valves.

The scrap processed in the Arc Furnace is brought to the Crucible Furnaces in liquid form for chemical enrichment. All movements of the Crucible Furnace are done hydraulically. Hydraulic Power Unit is comprised of Valve Stands, Battery Stand and Nitrogen Stand.
There are 3 or 4 movements in the standard Crucible Furnace applications depending on the project. The most important movements among these are Electrode Regulation and Roof Lifting.
Electrode Regulation cylinder ensures the movement of the Electrodes that will enter the furnace. For cylinder movement, Rexroth high accuracy 4WRLE Servo valves are used.
Roof Lifting cylinder ensures the furnace opening and closing process. Roof Lifting movement uses Rexroth 4WRKE high accuracy Proportional valve as well.
ROTH Accumulator and Nitrogen Stand is used in the system against electrical hazards and for boosting.
There have been about 20 Arc Furnace Projects Hydraulic Systems of different sizes planned in the world.
