Hydraulic Bow Thruster and Oil Recovery Control System
Both open loop and closed loop hydraulics are used for two different motion control and there is a single tank.
We are proud to successfully commission the Hydraulic Bow Thruster and Oil Recovery Control System that we designed and produced for Çeliktrans Shipyard. Bow Thruster is the general name of the propulsion propellers used for circular maneuvering on the front of the ships. It is also known as Bow Thruster in Turkish. The types located at the stern are called Stern Thruster and these propellers give the ship serious maneuverability in berthing and leaving the port.
It is possible to drive and control Bow Thruster's generally driven by an electric motor, but also hydraulically. In this project, we offered a special solution to our customer who wanted us to provide hydraulic power to the Oil Recovery Control system in the ship as well as the Bow Thruster. The Oil Recovery system consists of a complex structure that allows the collection of diesel and dirty oil wastes mixed into the sea. And at the same time, it benefits from our hydraulic system.
We used both the open loop and the closed loop of the hydraulics for two different motion control and fed our system from a single tank, a single diesel engine drive.
